The Kayak Education & Leadership Program (KELP) informs kayakers on marine wildlife regulations and guidelines with the aim to reduce human-powered vessel disturbance to Southern Resident orcas and all marine wildlife within the San Juan Islands.

Upon completion of KELP Training, professional kayak guides will be documented to launch groups at San Juan County Park for the 2017 year without having to watch the video each time. Individuals are also welcome to sign up.

  • There is a limit to 6 attendees at each KELP training.
  • Trainings are held at 4:30 p.m.
  • If a class fills for that day, a second class may be scheduled at 6:00 p.m.. that day.
  • After purchase, our staff will confirm your class date and time with you.

Please select the number of tickets (attendees), desired date, and enter attendee names separated by commas in the box below. To select multiple dates, return to this page from your shopping cart.
