We've been training marine naturalists since 1994.
A special offering for those who completed the Marine Naturalist Training Program virtually - a Winter In-Person Field Trip February 10-12, 2023. This weekend of field trip excursions will take place on San Juan Island and are meant to supplement the educational content previsously presented during the virtual sessions. The weekend will include a tour of The Whale Museum; winter bird watching; tour of Friday Harbor Labs; and a variety of fields trips on the west side.

2023 Winter Field Trip Dates/Times: Weekend begins at 5:30 pm on Friday, February 10 and runs through 4:30 pm on Sunday, Feburary 12, 2023
The price is $145 for TWM/SSAMN memers and $150 for non-members. Price includes a reception Friday evening; snacks and lunches on Saturday and Sunday (evenings at your leisure); and transportation to field site locations. Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and travel to SJI if needed. (Please indicate in the Notes Field in your Shopping Cart whether you are Vegetarian or if you have specific dietary needs.)

Registration applications are processed in the order they are received. You will be notified with a confirmation letter once your registration has been processed. This course has a maximum class size of 17 students.
Refund Policy
If you cancel, tuition is fully refundable up until February 3rd. After that time, a full refund can only be provided if your space in the program is filled. Your refund, if any, will be processed on or after the first day of class. The Whale Museum reserves the right to cancel the program at any time. In the event the program is canceled, you will be issued a full refund.
